MOT cost in East London — what you'll actually pay

MOT pricing across East London is fairly competitive, but the headline 'cheap MOT' deals often quietly tie you to a particular workshop for any subsequent repair work, where the margins are made back. We charge a fair MOT fee, and then quote any repair separately and transparently — you're free to take the car elsewhere if you'd rather. Most customers don't, because we use OE-quality parts, give a written warranty, and don't add labour for jobs we haven't done.

Class 4 covers most cars and small vans up to 3,000 kg. Class 5 is for larger passenger vehicles, and Class 7 covers vans and goods vehicles between 3,001 kg and 3,500 kg. Motorhomes, dual-purpose vehicles and ambulances each have their own rules — we'll tell you straight if your vehicle isn't one we test.

If your MOT fails, you have two practical routes. Leave the car with us and we'll quote the repair, fix it, and partially retest at no extra MOT fee within the DVSA window. Or take the car away, get the work done elsewhere, and bring it back — but if you're outside the free-retest window, a full new MOT is needed.
